Results and statistics for the Footy tipping in 2013.

Official Rules

Main (Home & Away) competition

  • Each individual tip effectively represents a bet placed on the nominated team (no draw tips are permitted)
    • For each correct tip you receive points as determined by payout odds published by Sportsbet in the morning on the day of the first match of each round (these will be emailed to competitors)
    • For each incorrect tip you receive nothing
    • For each omitted tip, you receive 0.8 points (i.e. a 20% penalty for missing tips)
  • Each tip must be submitted before commencement of that game (determined by the received date/time stamp placed by our email server) and can be altered or resubmitted any number of times. Any tips submitted late will be disregarded
  • Tips or comments should be sent to FootyTips@cumsar.com.au or Corey.Plover@cumsar.com.au

Second chance (Finals) competition

  • Every week, the tipper with the highest (or tippers with the equal highest) winnings for that week receives an entry into the 'Second Chance competition' for tipping the Grand Final winner and winning margin
  • In addition, should that tipper (or tippers) achieve a perfect score for the round, they will receive a bonus entry into the Second Chance competition.
  • The Second Chance prize will be split between all entries with the correct Grand Final winner and the margin closest in absolute value to the actual winning margin.
  • If no such entry exists, the prize will be split between all entries with the correct runner-up and the lowest margin.
  • In the unlikely event that no one tips either team playing in the Grand Final, the prize will be split equally between all entries surviving the longest in the Finals series.
